Is Wisdom One of Your Goals?

Wisdom and understanding are as valuable as wealth. When you gain wisdom and
understanding, along with a dose of compassion, you possess more than the
wealthiest without it.

Happiness in Life

Don’t deny yourself a single day’s happiness.

All animals, except man, know that the principal business of life is to enjoy
it. Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds up to be.

Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get.

The Power of Great Habits

The beginning of a habit is like a thin thread. But every time you repeat the
habit, you strengthen it by adding another thin thread, until you have a visible
strand and then a great cable that binds you through act and thought.

You are what you repeatedly do and think. You first create your habits. Then
your habits create who you are in the world. You do not decide your future. You
decide your thoughts. Your thoughts decide your actions which become your
habits. Your habits decide your future. Achievement is not an event; it is a
habit.

The capacity for reform and change is inside each human. I’ve never met a
person in whom I couldn’t see possibilities, even those others deem failures.
Each human can change and improve his or her life anytime they choose and are
ready to commit to improvement. Whenever a human develops the desire, they can
remove what is defeating him or her, because it is always inside.

The human spirit is stronger than anything that happens to it.

Goals and Dreams

Without goals and plans to reach your goals, you are like a ship sailing with
no destination.

Achieving your goals is wonderful, but make sure to have a new set of higher
standard goals before you reach the first ones.

How do you keep going? The power of your dream and desire will multiply the
energy you have to achieve your goals. When you feel desire that you want
something you do not have, rather than getting angry, feel joy. You have
identified a new goal to attain.

Remember, it is not just about attaining a goal. It is also about the quality
of life you live in the process.

And if you are feeling overwhelmed, remember, the future comes one day at a
time and each day comes hour by hour.

Making Your Life Matter and Making A Difference

Experience is not what happens to you. It is what you do with what happens to
you. You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips.

Remember, as you choose to grow in your life, growth is a leap of faith. It
is a spontaneous act without the benefit of personal experience. You gain
experience from growth.

Get rid of regret. You can’t go back and have a new start. But you can start
now to create a new ending.

Never give up, because that is just the time the circumstances will turn in
your favor.

When Do You Know it All?

It is what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Avoid having your ego so tied to your goals that when your goals fall, your
ego goes with it.

If you see and treat yourself as you are right now, you will remain as you
are. If you see and treat yourself as you could be, you will become what you
envision yourself to be.

We know too much and feel too little. We feel too little of the life giving
emotions that guide us to create a good life.

Hold yourself responsible to a higher standard than anyone expects of you.

Remember, gold is tested by fire. Human character is tested in the furnace of
human humiliation. What the enlightened men and women seek is improvement and
success within themselves.

Achievement comes to those who dare to believe that something inside of them,
including their connection to the Universe, is greater than circumstance.

Be Nice To Yourself and Get What You Want

Hold a vision of what you want, because it is so much more fun to envision
and feel the outcome you desire, rather than think about all the hard work in
front of you.

It hurts to focus on being somewhere you don’t want to be but empowers you
when you dream of what you want and can feel yourself experiencing it.

Your vision and dream will be work, but work joyously with a sense of moving
forward and closer to your dream.

Remember, diamonds are nothing more than chunks of coal that stuck to their
jobs.

How to Be Grateful When Times are Tough

You can choose to be grateful…

For the clothes that fit a little too tight, because it means you have enough
to eat.

For your shadow that watches you work, because it means you are out in the
sunshine.

For your faucet that needs fixing, your walls that need painting and your
floors that need cleaning, because it means you have a home.

For the close parking spot taken by someone else and the only one left at the
far end of the parking lot, because it means you are capable of walking and you
are blessed with the independence to travel around.

For all the complaining and stupid ideas you hear, because it means we have
freedom of speech.

Gratitude is like electricity. It is be produced by a source and sent out to
others. The highest appreciation is to live a grateful life.

The Leadership Difference

The Boss drives men. The Leader inspires them.

The Boss depends on authority. The Leader depends on goodwill.

The Boss evokes fear. The Leader radiates love.

The Boss says "I". The Leader says "We".

The Boss shows who is wrong. The Leader shows what is wrong.

The Boss knows how it is done. The Leader knows how to do it.

The Boss demands respect. The Leader commands respect.
