The beginning of a habit is like a thin thread. But every time you repeat the habit, you strengthen it by adding another thin thread, until you have a visible strand and then a great cable that binds you through act and thought.
You are what you repeatedly do and think. You first create your habits. Then your habits create who you are in the world. You do not decide your future. You decide your thoughts. Your thoughts decide your actions which become your habits. Your habits decide your future. Achievement is not an event; it is a habit.
The capacity for reform and change is inside each human. I’ve never met a person in whom I couldn’t see possibilities, even those others deem failures. Each human can change and improve his or her life anytime they choose and are ready to commit to improvement. Whenever a human develops the desire, they can remove what is defeating him or her, because it is always inside.
The human spirit is stronger than anything that happens to it.
